Professional Bucking Bull Association Livingston, AL

Lyman, SC, May 10, 2008–The University of Western Alabama Rodeo Team was the proud host of the first PBBA event of 2006. Coach Chad Phipps and his team treated us all to a craw fish boil immediately followed by a charity auction for the rodeo team.

Thirty one bulls from eight states traveled to the UWA campus for a chance to be crowned as the first PBBA champion of 2008.  After the second round of tough competition the top bull was #12 owned by Sharp & Zaumbracher. This big brindle was marked a total of 181.50 points and took home the first place check, a Bob Berg buckle and a free 100 straw collection donated by Russ Princ with Gen Ex Alabama.

The 2007 PBBA Finals Champion, Seth Louthan and his bull 09 Angle Eyes scored 179.50 for second place. Third place went to #31 of Rickey West’s with a score of 176.75. Past PBBA Champions Dell & Donna Elrod placed fourth with their bull D10 Ruby Red who was marked 176.25.  Dell Elrod was also the first PBBA horseshoe pitching champ.  Fifth place went to Charlie Lowry’s bull 651 Prime Action with a score of 175.

The Livingston, AL PBBA event was also a Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association (SEBRA) event.  The SEBRA bull riders had their hands full with these top PBBA competition bulls.  The fans were on the edge of their seats during both performances as both the bulls and cowboys competed.  To learn more about SEBRA visit www.sebranow.com.
